Invest in Bavaria’s East Coast team connected with Boston area innovators to discuss tons of opportunities in the German State of Bavaria over Bavarian beer and pretzels.

Germany’s Deputy Consul General, Helmut Landes and Massachusetts’ Assistant Secretary of Business Development and International Trade, Nam Pham opened the Bavarian night by highlighting the valuable connections between the States of Bavaria and Massachusetts as well as their similarities when it comes to educating the brightest minds and providing excellent conditions for entrepreneurs to foster innovation from IT to medtech and biotech.

Nearly 100 folks gathered to learn about Bavaria’s recipe for entrepreneurial success, among them were US companies that participated in Bavaria’s medtech accelerator “Go Global” to share their time in the European Metropolitan Region of Nuremberg (Northern Bavaria) – Germany’s #1 medtech region!  “GoGlobal was the best professional experience I have ever had”, said one of the program’s participants, backed by other comments “the comradery between participants was excellent, everyone cared about me” and “the matchmaking event was unbelievable: investors were interested in me … I now have a business plan for 6 different countries.” Go Global participant, Sean Tibbetts, CEO of Cybertimez announced their recent successes and plans to expand to Bavaria.
