The Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology today announced the interim results for its 10.000-Häuser-Programm (10,000-houses program). The program represents a €90 billion, four-year effort to foster innovative technologies in the field of house warming. Through the program, individuals who are planning to renovate or build a house can receive up to €18,000 in benefits for choosing to incorporate such technologies in their projects.
The measures eligible for these subsidies range from simple (replacement of old heating facilities) to complex (implementation of solar and heat exchange systems, by which heating energy consumption can be lowered by as much as 90%). Through this four-year (205-2019) program, the State of Bavaria aims to help realize these measures in 35,000 houses, of which 10,000 are supposed to implement the more complex improvements. Requests to receive these aids reached the annual limit as early as in mid-November this year.
So far, each euro of subsidy has promoted up to €10 of private investments. The Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs, Ilse Aigner, thus considers the program “a great success – for climate, citizens, trade and industry.”
