Current grant opportunities for the LifeScience Sector

The Zentrum fuer Digitalizierung Bayern (Center for digitalization) focuses on strengthening innovation, foster cooperation between science and business, improve the Bavarian startup ecosystem and keep the public dialog regarding digitalization of the economy open.

Recently the center published new grants and projects available for the LifeScience Sector.

1. Funding initiative for MedTech in Bavaria

Initiator: German State of Bavaria’s Ministry of Economic Affairs
Target Group: Bavarian consortia with R&D projects in MedTech, focus on digital healthcare (telemedicine, eHealth, mHealth) that have the potential to bring their research on the market
Goal: improve the efficiency and competency of the Bavarian and German healthcare system
Funding: six joint projects for three years with a total of EUR 1.8 m

2. Funding initiative for the model region of digital healthcare – Franconia (region in Bavaria)
Initiator: German State of Bavaria’s Ministry of Economic Affairs
Target Group: Franconian consortia with R&D projects in digital healthcare that have the potential to bring their research on the market and desired integration of service providers (hospitals, pharmacies, doctors etc.)
Funding: five joint projects for up to two years with a total of EUR 1.5 m

3. Funding initiative for the platform for digital health/medicine at the Center for Digitization in Bavaria
Target Group: Bavarian consortia with R&D projects in digital healthcare that have the potential to bring their research on the market and desired integration of service providers (hospitals, pharmacies, doctors etc.)
Funding: up to two joint projects for up to two years with a total of EUR 0.6 m
